Este sensor es compatible con cierres de interruptores electrónicos, como salidas FET o de colector abierto, o señales lógicas de nivel CMOS. Los sensores inalámbricos HOBOnet comunican los datos directamente a la estación meteorológica HOBO RX3000 o transmiten los datos a través de otros sensores inalámbricos a la estación central. Están preconfigurados y listos para ser implementados, y se accede a los datos a través de HOBOlink, la innovadora plataforma de software basada en la nube de Onset.
